Ford Puma Competitor Insight

Volkswagen’s T-Roc is considered to be the prime rival for our 2020 Car of the Year, with a fifth of potential buyers considering it alongside the Ford Puma from the outset. What’s more, interest in the T-Roc barely changes over time.

The same can’t be said of the Ecosport from Ford’s own stable, as well as the Seat Arona and Nissan Juke; all begin to lose the interest of potential buyers as they move closer to doing a deal.

While both the Peugeot 2008 and Volkswagen T-Cross show small gains in interest between the researching and ready to buy phases, it’s the Skoda Kamiq that gets the biggest gain, with 21% of buyers considering it alongside the Puma by the time they’re ready to sign on the dotted line.

Potential buyers are clearly tempted by a more premium badge, too, with interest in the Audi Q2 growing by 2% over time.
