Seat driving down the road.

Top 20 most searched-for new car reviews by brand on whatcar.com

Seat achieved the biggest difference between December ranking in sales terms (17th) and its position in this chart (first). There’s also a big difference for Nissan, which ranks second in terms of December searches but seventh for sales. Audi continues to be hit by short supply triggered by the WLTP switchover, placing seventh for sales and third for interest, this ranking being down on its number one status in November.

The three biggest-selling brands in December – Ford, Volkswagen and Vauxhall – were the seventh, fourth and eighth most searched-for brands respectively, with the amount of traffic for Vauxhall having increased thanks to the popularity of the Grandland X and Crossland X.
