Most popular brands – February 2021

Top 20 most searched-for new car reviews by brand on whatcar.com

The effect of the Dacia Sandero being named as our Car of the Year for 2021 can be seen in this month’s ranking of the most popular brands on Whatcar.com, where Dacia rises four places compared with the last rolling four-week period. Meanwhile, despite an all-new review for the Swace estate car, Suzuki falls from fifteenth position to sit outside the top 20 this time, despite tempting Target Price discounts on models including the Vitara and SX4 S-Cross SUVs.

Meanwhile, improving discounts on Honda’s model range see interest in that brand spike, causing it to move from 17th to 13th position. Indeed, with a new HR-V small SUV due to be revealed soon, discounts of up to £1776 are possible on the outgoing car, which is helping to drive interest. Indeed, buyers can save more on the HR-V through our New Car Buying service than they can on rivals including the Mini Countryman, Nissan Juke and the class-leading Ford Puma.
