Top 20 most popular new car reviews on whatcar.com

Having put in a meteoric rise last month, this time the Skoda Enyaq topples the perenially popular Volvo XC40 to lead our table – although only by a small margin. Clearly buyers are interested in Skoda’s new electric SUV, and while no Target Price savings are yet available, the fact that the cheapest versions qualify for the government’s electric vehicle grant will surely tempt some buyers.

Elsewhere, having proved popular both as a first drive and as a video on our YouTube channel our full review of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 makes its debut in fourth position, dropping better-known electric cars such as the Volkswagen ID.3 and Tesla Model 3 down our rankings. And another car which is also available in fully electric form, the MG ZS, rises five places this month, from 20th to 15th position, perhaps helped by discounts of up to £1997 through our New Car Buying Service.

While some rise, however, others must fall, and the Peugeot 3008, Hyundai Tucson and Audi Q2 all fall away from the top 20 this time.
