New Car Buying Marketplace Insights – July

New Car Buying: cars generating the most leads from buyers at whatcar.com

With ever-increasing numbers and variants of electric cars going on sale, buyers have an almost overwhelming choice ahead of them. So while the former What Car? Car of the Year-winning Kia e-Niro featured in fourth place last month, this time it has dropped to 10th position, while newer entrants including the Skoda Enyaq iV and Volkswagen ID.3 gain ground. Both of those cars aren’t currently available with Target Price discounts, while the e-Niro has savings of up to £922 at the time of writing, showing the allure of a newer model in the eyes of potential buyers.

Elsewhere, while the Ford Puma small SUV has generated more leads this month than it did last, it’s still more than 2000 leads behind our perennial top dog, the award-winning Volvo XC40 family SUV. That model is currently available with generous discounts of up to £4069 – some of the highest in the family SUV class.
