New Car Buying Marketplace Insights – March

New Car Buying: cars generating the most leads from buyers at whatcar.com

With an all-new Nissan Qashqai just around the corner, discounts on the outgoing model are high, and savings of up to £6197 on the current car push the Qashqai up to 12th place this month.

Elsewhere, discounts of up to £5588 bring the new Hyundai Tucson into the top 20 for the first time, with buyers able to save more on this four-star large SUV than they can on the majority of its rivals, including the class-leading Volvo XC40 which remains at the top of our list.

Volkswagen’s ID.3 also enters our top 20, despite Target Price savings standing at a modest £658 (if customers buy on cash) at the time of writing. Clearly, anticipation of this new electric car is high, and its reputation has already been bolstered thanks to winning our Small Electric Car of the Year title.

Our reigning Car of the Year, the Dacia Sandero, is enjoying a second month inside the top five, and is one of only six models to not fall into the SUV category. In total, 14 of this month’s top 20 are SUVs – up from 11 in the previous four-week period.
