New Car Buying Marketplace Insights – September

New Car Buying: cars generating the most leads from buyers at whatcar.com

This month’s list shows what improving discounts can achieve. When the all-new Nissan Qashqai family SUV launched earlier this year, savings were hard to come by, but over time discounts have improved, and now the Qashqai is available with discounts of up to £5178 – some of the most generous within the family SUV market. And that’s contributed to the Qashqai jumping up five places this month compared with last.

The Hyundai Tucson also achieves a big jump up our rankings, rising from 17th position last time to sit in seventh place this month. That’s likely helped by another big set of discounts, with buyers able to save up to £5045 at the time of writing, or spend as little as £242 per month if they buy on a PCP finance deal.

Elsewhere, the Volkswagen T-Cross slips out of the top 20 from 15th position last time, while the similarly sized T-Roc moves up three places, helped by discounts netting buyers this five-star car from just £229 per month.

And having stormed up our reviews rankings recently, the new Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric car begins its attack on our leads table, too, rising from 18th position to 14th this time.

Nothing can unseat the Volvo XC40 at the top of our table, however. It has cemented its first-place position with more than 2000 extra leads generated over the second-place Ford Puma.
